So does anyone care to comment how God defines whoredom? My point is not really to personally brand people as "whore" or "whoremonger" but to show the dramatic role the invention of the pill played in Americas history.
I admit I was a whoremonger, as well as a drug and alcohol abuser. So the point is not merely to put anyone down. But part of my point is to show we have fallen so far from the way God sees things most dont even recognize that TO HIM whoredom does not mean having 50 partners. All it takes is ONE you are not married to.

I'll never forget how saddened and shocked I was to find out that birth control pills are considered a form of abortion. I never knew that when I was actually taking them, which was only for a couple of years. I never really understood the process of birth control, and never realized it actually could and does abort babies.
When I realized that, we had already chosen other means of contraception besides birth control, but it sickened me to realize that I may have unknowningly allowed an abortion to take place in my body!
That being said, MTD, I think your point bears serious consideration. Why has our country careened down the spiraling course of immorality and when did it all start?
Of course, mankind has always been evil, and evil choices have always been made, but it wasn't until after WWII when we began to see moral depravity like never before in this country.
Even before the birth control pill became an issue, women were already throwing aside their values of being a wife and mother at home, and were choosing to follow a career, at the sacrifice of their families.
I think birth control definitely did play a part in the morality disaster we have now in this country, but I think the issue goes back even farther than that.

The pill freed women and men to some extent. And placed the onus more on women. Condoms were replaced. Then came HIV and Aids. Then came the cry for safe sex, so condoms made a comeback. Women waited until their 40's to have babies. Careers were more important. Or some adopted. Single Mother's by choice. Can't have babies, don't want to adopt? Have a surrogate. Then some change their minds, so judges have to decide who the real Mother is.
Now children are having babies, and celebrate it. My baby's Daddy or my baby's Mommy. Multiple dads and moms. Teenagers dying that have more than one child. Oh he loved his babies, or she loved her babies. And the cries now? Who's your Daddy?
And yet, there are many forms of birth control available that are FREE.
And society says, we have done well. Except................

I wouldn't let myself feel to much guilt. Like I said before, most women who have been married over a decade have probably had DOZEN(s) of fertilized eggs pass through them that were never implanted. Obviously at this stage of the development of a human, life is not QUITE as precious as say, when the heart actually starts beating and there are detectable brainwaves.
