Cover, Covering:
lit. denotes "something thrown around" (peri, "around," ballo, "to throw"); hence, "a veil, covering," 1Cr 11:15 (marg.), or "a mantle around the body, a vesture," Hbr 1:12.
See CLOTHING, Note (1), VESTURE.
So if we Broider this: "hair is given to her in place of a veil", ( "a mantle around the body, a vesture" ) will it still cover the woman like a mantle( "something thrown around" ) ?
