BTW, anyone who still believes that they aren't "in" or "following" or "members of" a religion, do you forfeit any and all tax breaks for your tithes and offerings, and does your church (if you attend a church) pay property and income taxes?
By all definitions, yes, it is a religion. But we aren't "followers" of a religion, rather we are followers of the Chief Cornerstone of said "religion."
I know he didn't say that. I meant that's what he meant. Or should have said. Or somthin'!
I love you man!!!!!!

Following Jesus is a religion. I seriously don't understand why people try to deny that! OK, actually, I guess I do, but it's a kind of lame reason, IMO.

I didn't say it wasn't a religion. The English definition of "religion" is as follows: a : the state of a religious <a nun in her 20th year of religion> b (1) : the service and worship of God or the supernatural (2) : commitment or devotion to religious faith or observance 2 : a personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices 3 archaic : scrupulous conformity : conscientiousness 4 : a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith.
I said "By all definitions, it is a religion." What I did say though, is that we don't, or at least shouldn't, follow a religion, but follow the "Chief Cornerstone" of this "religion."

OK. Not sure what it means not to follow a religion, I guess. Would you say you were a member of a religion?

By the definitions given, I suppose so. But the crux of my point is that in reality it is a relationship with somebody (God), not an obsession with something (religion). Make sense?

Yes, thanks.
