Re: He is Still Oneness Pentecostal In Heart

I'm not saying that we are not to do good works. Oh no, we are called to! But I'm saying that we are saved by grace TO DO good works. All that we do for God must be done in the very shadow of grace... else it is nothing but a vile and detestible attempt to elevate self attained "righteousness" (self-righteousness) to Heaven, standard by pathetic standard, like the very bricks of the tower of Babel.

Re: He is Still Oneness Pentecostal In Heart

Try to build a tower to Heaven with the wood and straw of performance and religiousity, I dare any of you. The LORD of Hosts laughs from the Heavens at such vanity. And He will visit their iniquity saying...

Matthew 7:22-23
King James Version (KJV)
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and [B]in thy name done many wonderful WORKS?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Yes, all their "wonderful works" are counted as INIQUITY.

We who will be saved... must fall in absolute surrender to grace...
Romans 4:5
But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
Selah... such peace cannot be known unless one kneels in the very shadow of God's grace.

No. Not in the sense that they mean it.

Now, true holiness of a heart being conformed into the image of Jesus will love God and their neighbour. Such love will drive all that we do. We will be cautious with how we dress and behave. But it is because of God's grace... not to earn it. And it will be led by the Spirit... not led by some rule in a dusty book of church bylaws condemning red pantyhose, purple neck ties, t-shirts, beards, or open toed sandles.

Not even Jesus Himself could get licensed in these fellowships... and they think He's in what they do??? LOL! No sir!!!

Remember... there is a demonic "spirit of religion" that seeks to bring believers into bondage. And it has been working overtime with Apostolic Pentecostals.

People are being conformed into the image of their pastors, churches, and organizations... not Christ's. Woe to us! Imagine getting to Heaven and Jesus saying, "Oh, you were a mighty fine Pentecostal! Look at all the standards you lived by..." He begins listing them and so we puff our chest out with religious pride. And He then stops and says, "But... I'm NOT a Pentecostal."

If it doesn't conform you into the image and likeness of Jesus... what image is it conforming you into? Ah... the subtle seduction of... idolatry...

I agree! Its an issue when your conviction becomes a standard in which to judge others.

When you think that your revelation of Christ is bigger then my revelation of Christ and my revelation of Christ is not correct because it is different than yours.

We all grow differently!

Amen.

We each work out this wonderful salvation with fear and trembling as we seek to become more like Jesus. Not as we seek to please some pastor or church board.
