No....number one id be thrown out and number two we are going to suffer illness because we live in a fallen world.....when Adam sinned it wasnt just us that fell but the whole world with him...just because I take on a new nature when I am filled with His spirit does not mean I will not be subject to affliction in the body....my body has not yet been glorified.

You are right on target and you make a very important point: Jesus IS the same, it is WE who have changed. We have drifted from our original message and our original purpose and intent. If we are to be effective in our evangelization of the world, we need to be equipped for the task.
Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. (
I Jn 3:8). Those works include sin, sickness and a plethora of other woes. The Holy Ghost was given to make us New Creations and empower us for service. Our task? To continue His mission. He left in order to come back!! Now, instead of being confined in space and time, He is in you, in me and in thousands of other people all across the world who He fills and empowers. We have to learn what this means:
"They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover." (
Mk 16:18)
"The works that I do shall he do also, and greater works than these shall he do because I go to the Father." (
Jn 14:12)
I don't think any of us have it all figured out yet, but by the grace of God we're not where we used to be.

We have a mission to carry out; a purpose to fulfill. Our task in the 5-Fold ministry is to equip the saints for the work of the ministry. We must first teach them who they are and what they can do.
Jesus said, "Why do you call me Lord, but do not do what I say?" I believe today He is still asking us the very same question.
