I think it's VERY offensive to suggest that something of such a [immorally] sexual nature could be considered "worship" in any capacity.
It's also very offensive to suggest that people who openly partake in something God considers abominable could use their abominable acts as a form of worship. I consider pole dancing to be dancing for the purpose of arousing others sexually. Bad enough to think that pole dancing for heterosexual arousal could be worship. Worse still to think that a perversion of sexuality could be considered worship.
As for whether "gays can worship God"; that's also debatable, IMO. It's not real worship if a person is blatantly and rebelliously participating in sin. You can go through the motions and give it a try, I suppose, but worship is much deeper than words we speak and bodily movement.
IMO, it is the worst kind of offensive to take something that you know God hates and try to twist it into something that He will find pleasing. That's as self-centered as Cain offering God what he wanted to give instead of giving what he knew God expected to receive.
