No, you don't gotta ask. Of course I'm kidding. But if I hold a belief that is in fact untrue, does that make me deluded? I prefer "mistaken".

That's a relief!

Despite your "of course", it's not unheard of the find people with that very attitude, and they're not kidding. There were 5 that voted "No, not at all. Everything I believe is correct", after all!

How about if we talk about just a small subset of beliefs? Are you 100% sure that you are correct about the doctrine of salvation? You know that the instructions (Acts 2:38 or whatever you believe spells it out) are true, and you know that your interpretation of them is correct, and you know that everyone who sees it differently is wrong?

Would you vote "No, not at all. Everything I believe is correct" if the question was about just that specific belief?

Have you voted here? http://www.apostolicfriendsforum.com...ad.php?t=20984

Re: Are you deluded?

I am surely deluded in some particulars, and possibly in some major areas, as well. I live in a land that considers itself 'Protestant,' yet calls Sunday 'the Lord's day,' and has 'sunrise' Easter services...I call these people 'bretheren.'

What's wrong with that?

indeed...they all seem pretty innocuous, huh? Do you even know who Ishtar is? Don't be embarrassed if the answer is 'no.' It took almost 200 years after Constantine for 'the church' to finally put over Sunday as 'the Lord's day'...let history (the one obscured from us)--and the Spirit--be your guide, imo.

The Worship of Baal; the Sun god

Although it was quite difficult--like moving your 'Lord's Day' to Sunday--the Catholic church caused Passover to become Easter--or Ishtar--which is just one of the forms straight out of Babylon, and descended right from Semiramis. Easter services at "sunrise" mirror exactly the pagan fertility (rolling eggs, bunnies abounding, etc.) rites of this time, and the Catholic church just figured that this would be a good way to get pagans to 'church.'

You call yourself a Protestant; what, pray tell, might you be protesting?

So many things for God to be mad at us about.
