While I (might) agree with you, in spirit anyway, on this very last part, I'm finding quite a few exceptions to the rest. I have not read the Upanishads, but my understanding is that at one time the Hindus believed just like we do; one supreme God. With other gods in attendance, just as our Scripture suggests.
You cannot deny that many will be 'accepted' who never uttered the Name
Jesus Christ, or any part of It; but do not kid yourself that they still came to God by calling on the Name.
