I have to agree with Prax on this one......I've been in a General Conference Mission service where thousands were given with no gimmick. And, I've been to a lot of secular fundraisers where items were auctioned off at a far greater value than the object was actually worth.
As long as people realize that its all in the interest of raising some money, and it's for a good cause, I don't see anything wrong with it.
Now, if someone believes that there is actual anointing in those ties, then we have a different problem, altogether.
