There is nothing wrong with explaining a scripture. The problem is when you have to become a contortionist to explain something that should be simple.
Jesus at God's right hand comes to mind. This is a Jewish saying that means Jesus sat down in his Father's throne in his power and authority. Later on in Revelation we see this happen. God is one. When you get to Heaven there will be one person on the throne. Sounds simple to me.
