An old lady lay dying in her bed and the preacher came to her bedside to comfort her. He noticed her Bible laying next her bed and picked it up to read a verse hoping to add some solace to her as her life slipped away. When he opened her Bible, he stood there astonished as he beheld her Bible with whole pages and chapters cut out. When he inquired of the lady what had happened, she told him that over the years when he would preach and tell the folks that this book, this chapter or this verse was added or really doesn't apply, that she would come home and cut that part out of the Bible. Now, she said, I lay here dying and thanks to you, I have no hope.

Joh 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
How could any scripture bring more comfort to her?

Actually, the list cannot be completed by anyone with any certainty. The reason is because there's no original documents which contain the original verses. So, who knows? Is 1 John 5:7 in the earliest documents we have? No. Was 1 John 5:7 in the original documents? Nobody knows.
We can take the verses we have though and change them to suit us, to make the verses more palatable. That happens all the time.
