Guess you missed the part of the post where I wrote about singing worship songs and reading the nativity story.

And BTW, even without singing worship songs or reading the nativity...there's nothing wrong about gathering with family to spend time together. Every occasion needs not 3 songs, an offering, message and altar call!

Is Christmas Christian? well that right there is a great question.

the answer is, without doubt, certainly it is.

Now does that mean it is the acutal date the Lord Jesus was born? no.
Does that mean that the people who died 1500 years ago, who came up with Dec. 25 as the date for Christmas did so with pure motive? I dont have a clue because I was not alive when they did it.

Does that mean that there was no pagan holiday that christians appropreated? no. in fact the people who came up with that date did appropreate the date from a pagan celebration.

does it matter? only to a handful of people who are worried about silly unimportant nonsense.

celebrating Jesus is never a bad thing.

I understand the antichristmas sentiments but wonder if I caused more harm then good by it. My family would have all the grand kids draw names togive gifts to each other. I always said no when my dad called to ask, now wonder if that was good move.

Question? And HOPEFULLY this will be answered by one of the "NORMAL" persons on here and not from someone who thinks teaching your child about Christmas is a sin ! Why are some people so fanatical and ridiculous about Holidays? And calling them a sin is so hilarious I do believe I hear God snickering ~
