Michael... if one is walking in the flesh God deals with them as with sons and chastens them. One doesn't lose their salvation in an instant. Now, continued carnality and sin... it will bring increasing chastening until they are cut off. And only God knows where that is necessary for each individual soul.

Michael, you have a lot of bitterness and animosity towards anyone who disagrees with you. We've discussed these things before and it never goes well. Even though you're perfect. lol

Hey... Mr. Perfect...

I never charged you of "insult". A perfect man with the mind of Christ would not say I did something I didn't do.

What I did do is point out the bitterness that blinds you on occasion when we speak. It just blinded you in the post above... and that is "perfection"???

No. That's carnality Michael.

I love you bro. Just sharing my thoughts. Please note, if you're a bit bitter and carnal, according to my belief it's honorable to be honest about it, confess it, and take it to the Lord in prayer. It might even be a process through which you must go to find the roots of the bitterness, because it can go back many many years and you not know it. It doesn't mean your salvation is in absolute peril either. In fact... you're assured salvation and oneness with God in Spirit is what is bringing it to light to be dealt with.

Now... if you're right, according to what I understand of your position... you're not modeling the perfection you profess so adamantly.

Re: Sinful housework

Also, Christian perfection rests in the eradication of self. One must lose themselves in Christ. The Bible states...
2 Peter 1:3-4 (King James Version)
3According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for our sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty may become rich". (2 Cor 8.9)
'And the glory which you gave Me, Ihave given them. That they maybe one as we are one. I in them and You in Me. That they be made perfect in one, and the world may know that you have sent me." Jn 17.22-23
Romans 12:2 "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
Genesis 1:26 "Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness"
Romans 13:11 "And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed."
2 Corinthians 3:18 "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."

Re: Sinful housework

When we pursue the perfection intended for us in Christ we are like drops of rain falling into the ocean. We cease to be and the ocean remains.

Re: Sinful housework

God became man... to make man God.

Not "gods". But "God". Man is made God in that man is to be conformed into the image and likeness of God Himself, via the express image represented in the man Jesus Christ. We become... Jesus.

Re: Sinful housework

One cannot attain a greater level of holiness than becoming one with the divine source, God Himself. Jesus said,
John 15:4-11 (ESV)
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. 5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. 7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. 9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. 10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. 11 These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.
Notice... we are called to be branches of the Vine. Living extensions of the Vine Himself. Not merely individuals mimicking or following. Not people following a list of rules cooked up for us by some pastor. Instead... we are to spiritually achieve an experiential and existential "oneness" with Christ, making us literally living extensions of Himself. Thus we partake in His nature and "divine energies" (as the ancients described it) via His Spirit. We must abide. We must maintain this oneness. We do so by obeying Christ's commandments. Christ summed up the entirety of the Law as a whole...
1.) Love God with all your being.
2.) Demonstrate that love for God by loving others as yourself.
Everything rests on these two commandments. Do these... and thou shalt forever abide.

Re: Sinful housework

A man who is one with God, through the Spirit, has more "holiness" in his pinky finger than a thousand legalists with all their rules and banter.

...even if that saint of God in union still has various degrees of sanctification to achieve.

Honestly, I do not see where Michael exhibited any bitterness, anger, or anything in his posts.

Perhaps I am just blind, but seriously, I did not see it. I read your comments about his posts being bitter or whatever and thought 'Wha...? What in the world? Aquila has been listening to 'Sam' too much...' lol
