Agreed. Though, to be fair, I've never run into someone who considered only the UPC to be the body of Christ. However, most ministers I've run into seem to consider only those who are baptized in Jesus name, filled with the Holy Ghost, evidenced by tongues, AND who abide by the general/average outward dress standards that the majority of the UPC hold to. That last requirement is often referred to by the euphemism of "living a holy life."
So, even though we'll be in a church that teaches repentance, baptism in Jesus name, and being filled with the Holy Ghost, I doubt we'll be considered "brothers and sisters" because the church we attend won't teach against men wearing shorts or women wearing pants, etc. We'd be living an "unholy life," I guess.
