It certainly would be something amazing. Right up there with the virgin birth!

Titus2woman on AFF
"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Please Explain the Silencing of the Women
I just wanted to say that I am so thankful for the truthtellers on this forum that refuse to allow women to preach or teach. I mean, it's downright obvious what the truth is here. We know what the Word of God says. People just need to listen, unlike the Jezebel preachers who want to flaunt their feminism everywhere. We really need to learn to do God's will and be barefoot and pregnant like thus saith the Word of God.
Titus 2:5
King James Version (KJV)
5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
We need to learn to obey like we are told. Yes that means obey your man. Don't flaunt yourself. Don't ask for anything. Don't need anything unless your husband agrees. We know what he needs. Just do it and don't complain. He doesn't know what we need and we can't teach him because we are not supposed to teach men. So we need to live with it.
1 Timothy 2:12
King James Version (KJV)
12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
You can't teach your husband and you are in sin if you try.
1 Tim 2:15
Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
Here is your answer, feminists of this day. You will be saved in childbearing. You don't need to preach or teach, have a career or even use your mind. Just give your husband what he wants and you will get what you want: pregnant. Yes, that's right. So then you can be saved.
Woe to those who twist the Word of God. Woe to the feminazis.

woe to feminazis, amen; but to a fruitful female pastor, likely only called due to a lack of responsible, awakened male influence? sorry, that is just preaching death, imo.

The only fruitful a woman should be is pregnant.

Thank you Emma for the WORD OF GOD you just spoke (I dare not say preach cause I don't want to get you in a whole lotta hot water!) But it does my heart good to know that if I am to be saved in childbearing, I must get busy about the kingdom. My husband will be pleased, I'm sure, to bear me more children. What a relief to know that's all I need to do to be saved!!!!!!!

Re: Please Explain the Silencing of the Women
hey, i attend a mennonite church. i agree with you guys on some level--a level which we do not currently occupy. the many oblique references to women drawing water, baking bread, et al, for men should tell an observant student of spirituality something, and it is blasphemy, imo, to assume that one can judge another's fruitfulness. That is God's place. who are you to condemn a fruitful ministry? you should be ashamed.
“Go, gather all the Jews to be found in Susa, and hold a fast on my behalf, and do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my young women will also fast as you do. Then I will go to the king, though it is against the law, and if I perish, I perish.”
"To everything under heaven a time, and a season." please already

Emma B. is not Mennonite. She is Amish.
So, how is the Mennonite church working out for you?
