Thanks for posting this picture. I especially like the white outfit.

Well, let's see, the man's necklace wraps around the neck, as does the woman's. The man's necklace is made of cloth, the women's made of plastic. Can't seem to understand what the problem is with either.

Re: Ministerial Fashion

I think they are the same. I hate wearing ties. They are not only uncomfortable and get in the way of doing so many things but they are so uncommon anymore that they actually draw excessive attention to the wearer. But if you like wearing a tie and you feel comfortable in one and feel you can serve people as well in a suit as you can in more common attire then go for it. Our pastor cooks supper for us every Wednesday night and I sure wouldn't expect him to wear a tie doing that. I wouldn't expect him to wear a tie after or before either. I don't think I've seen him wear a tie as a matter of fact. It's just not an issue for us.

Likewise, if the woman liked wearing a necklace, go for it?

Re: Ministerial Fashion

To be fair, the tie is like a scarf. The necklace is like taking the men's tie tacks and cuff links and putting them around her neck.

You see, in OP circles, it is okay to put pearls or gold in your hair or wear them as buttons or on your shoes or purse or watchband. But you must NEVER put them on a shoestring around your neck. That would be worldly, see??

Re: Ministerial Fashion

Right, the exact same beads could be used as buttons and it is okay. The necklace is shiny, although some ties are too if they have gold or silver thread in them.
