Matthew 7:22
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
OK, so
who exactly is Jesus talking about here? Fake Christians? So-called "nominal" Christians? Luke-warm?
They sound more like Pentecostals, to me. I mean, who else would try to make that defense -- casing out devils, prophesying, doing wonderful works? Baptists? Roman Catholics? "Nominal" Christians, who go to church a couple times a year?
Now, I'm not saying Jesus will reject
all Pentecostals, nor that he will accept any Baptists. Who knows? But, well, I guess I'm just sayin'.
