I don't think he has told my folks, either, when their prayers for my brother's healing of cancer failed, and those of many other family member's and friends'. There must have been thousands of prayers (and at least one "word form the Lord" that said he would be healed), and I'm not exaggerating. Were every one of them "offkey"? Did we not get what we asked for because we asked amiss? EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US?

I am very sorry for your hurt and pain in this. I know what it is like to watch a love one succumb to cancer.
I don't believe that praying for healing is asking amiss. I also don't believe that because your brother was not healed, that you did anything wrong. And if anyone told you either of these things, making your loss worse, they were very wrong to do so and shame on them!
