But if he is referring to charismatic kooks that have been in church for years but still look like Jezebel's granddaughters, then I would be concerned. It seems he is concerned more about accommodating people than God. Humanism can take on subtle forms.

Brother Pixler wrote a book about Modesty. Has anyone read it?

Re: Has Steve Pixler left Apostolic Conservatism?

I liked when he finally calmed down, stopped talking so loudly, and laid it out in a heartfelt, earnest, way... that he was intent on following Jesus, and searching for what is true in the Bible and he wanted them to take the journey with him. God bless him and the Cornerstone church.

I plan on following along with them from afar with prayers and listening to their messages online.

Listening to a message he preached on June 29th, before the message in the original post here -- "The Courage To Risk It All." Great message! It lays the groundwork for the next message and gives more insight.

Re: Has Steve Pixler left Apostolic Conservatism?

Do any preachers on AFF ever preach on LOVE? I don't think I've ever heard it preached in apostolic circles as the self-sacrificial love of God that we see in Jesus on the cross. But I hear it all the time when I listen to Greg Boyd. It's inspiring!

So what is up with Apostolic ministers? Why don't they preach on love, humility, etc? After all, it's what Christians are suppose to be known for!

I've preached on love, the title was "Love God or You're Toast".

Do you attend Apostolic churches on a regular basis?

Furthermore, God's love is displayed through the cross. When you preach on the cross you preach on love.

The "God" in which you preach about his love is not the God I believe in. You can have that kind of god. I don't need him.
