So what is up with Apostolic ministers? Why don't they preach on love, humility, etc? After all, it's what Christians are suppose to be known for!

I do all the time.......
Oh wait, that started when I was in the last year of my oneness Pentecostal life and moved on....so now I'm not apostolic.
10 years in the movement I don't recall ever hearing a sermon about love or Gods love, but at least we did sing that song "The Love of God".

Based on your posts I'd assume you preach on how much God loves those who keep standards.
I saw your love on the all trinitarians are going to hell thread.

Can course adjustments be made without going down the drain? If so, what would need to take place between the point where SP is now, and the drain, so that he doesn't go down the same path as the other two churches in FTW you were speaking of? Can his friends help out? If so, in what way?

Mizpeh, I heard an apostolic preacher preach on love once.... he took his text from 1 John 2:15, and the message started like this: "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.... for if any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him."

Re: Has Steve Pixler left Apostolic Conservatism?
So have we come to the conclusion that Bro Steve is toast yet?
Is that church in FT Worth/Dallas stick a fork in it finished?
Have we come up with a judgment yet?

Furthermore, God's love is displayed through the cross. When you preach on the cross you preach on love.

Laying down ones life, desires, will, and surrendering all to the who laid his life, will, and desires down for you. We love him because he first loved us. We show him we love him in the same way he showed us that he loves us. If a man loves the world, the love of God is not in him.

I have. I thought it was the best exposition of the concept. Some of the particulars were more bones than meat, to me, however. But helping an average reader "get" what modesty is all about, and why it's such a necessary way of life, definitely comes across.
I recommend the book.

Huh? You don't need a God of love?

- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
