Whole Wheat isn't all that it is cracked up to be, because of the gliadin protein that had been modified in 1953.
They modified the protein in the wheat because they wanted more fluffier breads and pastries. So we as a nation (now the world) pay for it in becoming overweight. Alternative flours, like brown rice, coconut, or ancient grains like spelt, amaranth, millet, and kamut are good but pancakes will look like they did in the first century A.D. Flat, and no fluff. But they taste good especially smothered in bacon with real maple syrup. Yet don't forget the eggs easy over. I also have to mention quinoa, which isn't exactly a grain but a seed. Which has some amazing qualities and quinoa flour is also available.
Now what was this thread about?

Dr. E. Bacon... whenever you are involved in a discussion of any topic, you have a way of making "bacon" part of the conversation... me-thinks you have a bacon addiction....

LOL... BBQ is my husband's favorite. He could eat it every day. Me - not so much. It's ok once in a while.
My mother is like Miss Brat., she gets extremely sick (one time she ended up in the hospital after eating a bit of BBQ). So there is definitely something in the smoked meat that can mess with a person's digestive system.

It is like this I was a vegetarian, a vegan, and came to the place where I found out I was starving myself by eating like those ways. After extensive study I found out that animal protein was extremely necessary. Being around Pentecostals I while I found them to be meat eaters they consumed more carbs than they did meat making them fat and sick.

Men need the animal protein because of hormonal balance of testosterone.
Carbs and fat build up in the body increases estrogen in males.
Hey?
What was this thread about???

I should of said carbs that cause fat build up increases estrogen in males, also with women can cause hormonal imbalances. Fat to obesity is a big problem in the United States mainly caused by not how much we eat, but what we eat.
This thread went off course?
Maybe that wasn't such a bad thing?

Not just Pentecostals, but people in general consume far more carbs than necessary, myself included. I have never been vegan/vegetatarian, but studies indeed have shown that it is not the healthiest lifestyle either.

Well... bacon does seem to end up being the focus of threads you are involved in, lol
But yes, I agree that animal protein and fat is necessary for our bodies. Yet, all things in moderation. Only eating animal protein/fat, with not enough carbs is not good either.

I agree that carbs have mainly been the cause of much disease here in the US. It is very hard to make sure that there are less carbs on your plate than vegetables or protein, simply because they are cheaper to buy, fill you up quicker, and taste better overall.
Yes, this thread is off course... but just par for the course on AFF, lol!!!

I agree with this post, finally you are now making some sense.
