Amen, because there are things we need in animal proteins which help our bodies remain in hormonal balance. While I will agree that in the plant world there are proteins, they are enhanced with a balance of animal proteins of meat, fish, poultry, and diary. Not just anything mind you, but the best high quality grass fed, free range, and as far as fish goes, you just need to shop wisely when it comes to fish, fresh caught would be preferred. Seeing that some scary stuff comes out of fish farming.
I agree 100% and the facts are you can't get away from having carbs.
Meals should always include carbs, but they shouldn't be the lion share of your diet. Too much fat on the body causes way too many problems. If we look through history, fat wasn't the norm. Men worked hard, women worked harder, and exercise was also performed by those who understood its importance. When Paul says physical exercise profiteth little, he wasn't telling Timothy not to train, or exercise, but driving home the point that physical exercise wasn't of any eternal benefit. Too much inactivity ends up complicating matters as we get older When you were younger you could get away with more foolishness when it came to eating, and inactivity, but as the body grows older problems crop up from a life time of abuse.
Well, number one to get rid of is bread, wheat is not the emmer wheat of the time of Jesus. So smart carb choices like sweet potato and yams, instead of white potato. As far as price goes I look at it this way, not eating properly, and exercising regularly, will end up costing you ( and your family) in the long run. Also exercise isn't just cardio, but it has to be weight training whether that is achieved by training with weights, or by calisthenics you must put that into your routine.
