I want to make a correction/apology
Somewhere in this discussion I got the message you implied they were drunk before the miracle water into wine. I reviewed the last twenty and thirty posts and evidently I have made a mistake. When you said what the master of feasts said I took it for some reason to mean that they were already drunk.
I have been making a lot of points that probably didn't even make sense to you because I misunderstood what you said. It was my mistake I am sorry.

No, it implies by the word of the host, that they drank everything already. He uses a standard comparison to the average party. The thing we are pointing out is if theses folks were out of booze, they drank it all. Then Jesus made sure there was PLENTY more booze to finish the party. I bet when he spiked the punch bowl, he just told them..."you are all on your own, its not my fault if you get drunk"....LOL
