Does anyone know why there had to be a SECOND grand jury which indicted him? The first grand jury did not indict him, which makes me wonder how many grand juries can be assembled over the same charge. If the second grand jury also did not indict him, would they have assembled a third grand jury? I don't know how that works, but thought it was interesting it took two grand juries to indict him.

i believe in Texas a DA can bring charges to a grand jury as many times as he wants. further only the procecution presents information. there is no representation for the defendant.
the reports I hear is that he used a "tree branch" not a switch. the child was left with open wounds including one on his scrotum.... that kid is scard for life, and by scard, i mean he can point to his skin and say "see this? This is where my daddy beat me with a tree branch".... not emotional scars.... which i am sure he also has.
I dont know if AP did this out of the evil heart of an abuser or from the ignorance of one who has no parenting skills and is repeating the mistakes of previous ignorant generations, but i know what he did was against the law, horribly wrong, and has left a four year old baby with physical scars he will carry for the rest of his life....
I hope its ignorance that can be corrected and I hope AP spends the rest of his life making up for it.
