Re: Why I Am A Futurist

Bowas, the difference between us is I comment on the book, but leave the literal, obvious majority of it alone an untouched. I stick with the theme.

Case in point, I let the Tree of Life remain a literal tree, in fact, I believe it is the exact same tree as the one that was in the first paradise(Garden of Eden).

You guys turned the tree into human beings, using a concordance.

I simply think that "CROSSES THE LINE" into false doctrine interpretation.

Mike is looking for any scriptural loophole to call our savior a liar regarding the Tree of Life. I am simply defending what Jesus said, verbatim, and Mike is trying DESPARATELY to "counter" the very words of Jesus and "PROVE" that Jesus did not mean there is a Tree of Life in existence..this is not about me at all here. Mike is fighting the words of Jesus with all he has got!

Here is a post explaining what I feel about all this...

Bowas, simple...

"My wrong" represents blind, simple, faith in what we all read. I cannot be held accountable for not figuring out what these "riddles" are.

"Your wrong" represents voluntary deceit of what the passage is trying to clearly say.

Misrepresenting the word of God is ALWAYS salvational Bowas. Even 1 lie against the Word of God to deceive others will destroy our souls and those that believe us.

Thats why we must debate these issues with all we have...our souls are facing damnation here.

In my evaluation, teachers of false doctrine are heading to hell. I am willing to shed any traditional religious belief(presupposition) to be right with God.

Preterism calls Jesus a liar regarding the Tree of Life passages I presented. That would be all I need to abandon that stuff and keep searching for the truth.

The words of Jesus....

Rev. 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God......

Rev 22:22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations....

14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

The words of preterists(Mike Blume)...

Rev. 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the saints, which is in the midst of the paradise of God......

Rev 22:22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the saints, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the saints were for the healing of the nations....

14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the saints, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Bowas , this comparison is the real deal. Preterism definitely changes the actual meanings of the passage!

Brother. None of this is about what we may "think" but what does the Bible in fact say.!?

Bro Blume gave you verses that shows prior references on what "tree" can refer to, yet you ignore it as it goes against what you want to believe and continue to speak against the Bible's usage of it.

And once again, whether it is or isn't, you are guessing about the "tree" with no scriptural reference, unlike Bro. Blume's presentations and No, Bro. Blume used the Bible not a concordance.

Did you ever respond to those verses?

Trust me. I do not know everything at all, but what I don't know, I look internally and try to see what it meant to them then, not what I was taught or what I may want it to mean or even what I think it may mean.

Yes, I have been responding the whole time.(Saying) I think that taking a concordance, using a "like" word in a different passage to change the "face value" of the passage your are trying to interpret is nuts and spiritual suicide!

I dont know everything either bro. I just "trip hard" on folks that tell me that the Bible I am reading has no resemblance to what it is clearly saying.

Bowas, this changing of the meanings that preterists are doing is NUTS!!!

Matthew 24:27King James Version (KJV)

27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Jesus is coming like lightning!

The preterist says the Roman armies are coming like lightning....

Verse 27. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west— It is worthy of remark that our Lord, in the most particular manner, points out the very march of the Roman army: they entered into Judea on the EAST, and carried on their conquest WESTWARD, as if not only the extensiveness of the ruin, but the very route which the army would take, were intended in the comparison of the lightning issuing from the east, and shining to the west.....

Unbelievable....the preterists have the nerve to replace Jesus our lord coming in the passage with the Roman armies coming!

Here is another "NUTTY" preterist idea, Bowas.

What gives you the right to say Jesus is not literally a lion or a lamb? A real lamb animal??? What gives you the right? You said nothing to answer me.

That's a lie again. We do NOT believe Romans armies came like lightning.

Rev 5:6 clearly says John saw a LAMB.

You change the meaning when you say this:

Rev 5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a MAN as it had been slain, having NO HORNS AND TWO EYES, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

You changed the bible!
