Is the same chapter in John that says
I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me just as the Father knows me and I know the Father
Same chapter that says:
My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all[c]; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”
Crikey. It is the same chapter.
I and my Father are one. Often pointed to and used to imply that "I and the Father are the same".
What is that word one?
Same word, same book, used in chapter 17 in a prayer by Jesus and Jesus was praying to who?
20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that
all of them may be one, Father, just as
you are in me and I am in you.
May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that
they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
Same Greek word. Translated to "One". Either they are all God or something is wrong with the interpretation of "One" back in your chapter.
I don't think that word for "One" means what you folks say it means. It is used in the context of unity of completely separate and unique individuals.
