Re: People Looking To Take Offense Will Find It
They look like slices of pizza to me. Satanic slices, but pizza nonetheless.
I'm hungry.

Good night! If first century Christians showed up at your church---they wouldn't know what to think.

I got a good idea. Since those are actually trees, you could decorate them in December with silver bells and golden balls, and lights and just worship the trees! After all there isn't a dumb pulpit in the way, who needs one of those antiquated things.

I've got a better idea: disappear.

Re: People Looking To Take Offense Will Find It
The Pyramids of Cheops at Giza (the only possible pyramids anyone in the world cares about, that might be construed as Bible-related) are not isosceles triangles, as the pic CC1 shared, but rather, are equilateral in nature.
http://www.cheops-pyramide.ch/khufu-...u-numbers.html
To construe the things in the pic and some how relate them to Egypt and therefore to sin and bondage as a way to condemn the church and lose the righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit for a night over it all, is a monumental leap of super-spiritual unlogic.

Very well said. To draw the conclusion they drew was either willful ignorance or a mind so prejudiced that they would have found something to make offensive to cling to as a reason to dislike something different from what they are used to and how they do things.
As stated before I have no problem with anyone having doctrinal differences with my church and condemming us to hell for being one steppers. I also understand many folks won't like many things about the church like the decor, music, apparently the dim lights (I didn't see that one coming until I read the responses), etc. What I don't understand is the leap to make the church some kind of evil new age group.
We make it clear that Christ accepts us as we are but once we make him Lord of our lives we change because we have a new identity in Christ. We don't condone sin, easy believism, casual christianity, etc, etc. We proclaim that Jesus Christ is the only doorway to salvation and heaven. The infallability of the word of God, etc, etc. All things that are most certainly not "New Age".

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

"Judge not and ye shall not be judged" either goes over people's heads, or more likely, under their feet.

I could see how someone would mistake them for pyramids or trees. Mountains wouldn't be my first guest.
But I'm a Pentecostal, so there's that.
