well, you asked a divisive question, about the doctrines of men, imo. Didn't most preterists start as futurists? I think the danger is in identifying with either camp too completely; i see it as an "Are you a Pharisee, or a Sadducee?" type question. We have several of these in Christianity, none of which can be proven definitively with Scripture, and imo none of which alter our mission here as believers.
