David trusted in the Lord, but he still sent a rock to kill the giant.
David trusted in the Lord, but he still used a real sword to fight his enemies.
It is an idiotic notion that we must simply trust in the Lord and do nothing to protect ourselves.
When I was in the Army, I had no problem praying and trusting in the Lord, yet I still carried my M16 and made sure that it and all my other equipment was operational.
Yes I trusted in the Lord, but I still was an Expert Marksman.
Abraham the father of the faithful (he is my spiritual father) armed 314 servants and with them and two other allied princes went to fight a war that liberated his nephew Lot.
If Abraham had a silly do nothing faith and leave it al to God, he would have just prayed and stayed in his tent and not risk his life and the lives of his servants in an attack against the invading army.
