Deut 22:5 provides a prohibition. It does not explain the reason for the prohibition.

If obedience is necessary because of the word "abomination", then to be consistent, all abominations must be enforced, not just a few.

But no one in the NT placed any importance on the word "abomination." Which begs the question: is the abomination doctrine in the NT at all ?

I really do not think we can use the word abomination and say because the OT says it it is still an abomination....( I am Not by any means a Bible teacher whatever I write is just my opinion) . But just an example look at Lev. 11..

Are you saying because it didn't make the shopping list in 1 Corinthians 6:9 -11?

When did Paul the Apostle or any other apostles, evangelists, pastors, prophets, or teachers get their first complete New Testament? 50 A.D.? 60 A.D.? So, all these chaps had to go on were Targums, and the LXX? They taught out of the ONLY Bible at the time, which was the Old Testament. Book, chapter, and verse.

So, I'm begging the question, which of the abominations below are abrogated? When people start to look at Topeka Kansas, Azusa Street, as it was some sort of beginning points. They tend to forget what was the original beginning point. That whole dark ages death of the church teaching, then it coming back through stages of "New Light?"

Sis, all that is dealing with an abomination to YOU. Their Levitical food prohibitions were for health reasons. Most researchers and scholars found that because of these food laws. Many Medieval Jewish communities survived through the black plague of Europe. Micheal Nostradamus was a Medieval Jew who used Jewish foods to help cure plague victims. While he wasn't able to save his own family, he was able to save others.
