The machine gun was invented by American Hiram Maxim, and interestingly enough, the USA is one of the few countries on the planet where regular folks can in fact own a fully automatic firearm. In fact, machine guns have never been illegal in the USA on a federal level. They are heavily regulated, but not illegal at all.

It sounds layered and multiple, but it's not. The sound is misleading due to the hotel having 42 floors of glass covering it. There's an echo effect. The thing that makes me suspect that is that the layers all stop and start within seconds of each other. And, some of the other layered sounds you are hearing are the sounds of the inbound rounds hitting people, the ground, etc.

That's an incredible feat, considering there aren't any other broken windows I've seen in the videos or photos from the hotel. Just the two shown here.

In the video I posted you can hear two different rifles firing simultaneously, with different start and stop times. It's not just echoes - you can hear the echoes. You can hear, for each weapon, the crack, the firing, and the echo, distinctly. In one video (not sure if I posted it yet) you can hear rounds, crack, firing, and echo (all four elements of a rifle shooting inbound to your position) and you can clearly hear two different weapons at the same time, with their own start and stop firing independently.

The shooter was supposedly some 1500 ft (400-500) yards away. The volume and the speed of the echoes indicate a closer location. The first burst occurs during the concert and the musicians heard it, it can be heard on the recording over the music. Not likely when the weapon is 500 yards away AND the recording device is on the opposite side of the sound system from the weapon. Also, musicians wear monitors that silence other sounds do they can play accurately. Again, all indicating a closer source of fire than the hotel.

Shooting continued for 72 minutes, according to the reports. The bursts are in the 100 plus round range each in the beginning, at least. That's belt-fed stuff, not "mag dumps". Firing full auto for that long, dumping belts downrange like it's Stalingrad 42 or Khe Sahn, is highly unlikely for a geriatric millionaire out of shape poker player. 18 year old Marines have stamina issues with that kind of thing, so...

I've heard from several veterans who say the firing sounds more like M-60 than an AR on full auto.

Nothing about the developing narrative makes ANY sense.

Yes, saw that. Scanner feed from LVPD reports shooters from about the 6 the floor, around the 15th floor, and the 30th floor areas at same times, ie three different heights. Also reports from inside hotel on 10th floor of loud full auto shooting.

Supposedly 23 guns, two tripods, several thousand rounds of ammo, cameras set up inside room and in hallway... simply not buying that some 60- odd yr old gambler accountant who looks like he thinks "gymn" is a bad word set all that up, lugged it all up into place, set up a double sniper position, and pulled this off... in one of the most surveilled cities on earth with tighter security than Ft Knox... nope, not buying it.

Neither is anybody else with basic common sense.

Looks like a multi-man military operation. The cover story is to keep folks from realizing there's actually a war going on. Just a lone nut, happens every now and then, can't possibly be foreign military terrorist hit squad, go back to work, hate Trump, buy stuff, oh and get ready to disarm for the chilrenz.

And the idea of a DOMESTIC sourced threat is just CRAAAAAAZY, cause only white conservatives and Prozac prodigies do this kind of stuff.
