I agree, it is not welfare. Though, some people do abuse it. I have an uncle who was on unemployment for what seemed like 2 years or more. I don’t know if that is even possible. He got extensions. This was during O’s term when it seemed everyone was getting laid off. And it’s not like my uncle couldn’t find a job. He has so many years experience and people did offer employment when they learned that he was out of work.
I have a cousin who was laid off from her job because the position was eliminated. The company gave her 1 or 2 months pay and she is on unemployment. But she hasn’t really looked for a job and is now panicking because she is going to run out of benefits soon. SMH
