That quote should be modified to "not having money will make you unhappy"!

When I told him that I am not bilingual he stated that the client requires the new hires to speak espanish.

So I skipped the ERT interview and went straight to the paperwork for the ERT position.

This all took place in one office... one company. I'm sorry. I ramble,
Sorry for your work troubles. Congratulations on finding something so quickly.

UPDATE:

I am VERY pleased with the new job. I did file unemployment for the time off at the other company. My claim was approved today. I get paid tomorrow.

Good for you. I know the thread has gotten a little old but I still don't look at unemployment as welfare. The same people who abuse the system are probably marginal employees when on somebody's payroll to begin with and look at it as an opportunity to do nothing and get paid. I was one who went back to school on the Trade Act program years ago. I finished the degree, worked part time and yes, drew unemployment. That was in 2002. I have probably been out of work a total of 8 months over the last 15 years.

I agree, it is not welfare. Though, some people do abuse it. I have an uncle who was on unemployment for what seemed like 2 years or more. I don’t know if that is even possible. He got extensions. This was during O’s term when it seemed everyone was getting laid off. And it’s not like my uncle couldn’t find a job. He has so many years experience and people did offer employment when they learned that he was out of work.

I have a cousin who was laid off from her job because the position was eliminated. The company gave her 1 or 2 months pay and she is on unemployment. But she hasn’t really looked for a job and is now panicking because she is going to run out of benefits soon. SMH
