If we consider the pants question in light of Christian modesty, I think we all can agree that women's pants are rarely modest. And so, with simply the admonition for women to dress modestly we have a sound and biblical reason to admonish women to not wear women's pants.
Also, by considering the topic in light of modesty, we divorce it from he various interpretations, questions, and controversies that are a part of nearly every discussion on
Deuteronomy 22:5.
