Apples and peanut butter, Aquila. Not anywhere near what I was saying.
I was referring to this statement:

My point is that we are all kings and priests, a royal priesthood:
1 Peter 2:9
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
And we do have a High Priest:
Hebrews 4:14
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
Our High Priest offered Himself as a sacrifice once and for all. However, the ministry of the priesthood, intercession, is a part of our calling as the body of Christ. We intercede on behalf of a fallen world - our ancestors, forefathers, families, communities, cities, states, and earthly nations.

Our intercession regarding the present is to pray that men be reconciled to God. However, with regards to our ancestors, it is an obvious imperative that we right whatever wrongs their sins have brought upon the societies we live in. Many Christians took a stand against the violent oppression of the Roman Catholic Papacy and brought change, many Christians took a stand against slavery, child labor, for women's suffrage, against discrimination, and even today in the inhuman treatment of illegal aliens, sex trafficking, abortion, and organ harvesting.

One cannot be salt and light and not seek to right the wrongs produced by the sins of our fathers.
