Most churches today do not agree with the apostolic model, because of the Roman Catholics influence of the church over the last 1000 years. But that does not make it right. I believe we are so far from the way god intended for the church to be that it would be hard to get it right now, we have been indoctrinated so long that there is only supposed to be one man over a local assembly that we have a hard time seeing anything else.
