Re: Needing church recommendations, Louisville KY
As I read over the forum threads, I guess hmmm, just ask someone to point me in the direction of the more "liberal" leaning Acts 2:38 churches? No commentaries needed. Just stick to the facts of which churches, if you happen to know of any. Thanks so much!
and God forbid they play the horrific Hillsong style music. When and why did that ever become a thing?? Ugh! Can't stand it, doesn't inspire me at all, but rather annoys me. What's wrong with good old fashioned gospel music? Maybe I'll create a thread on that topic, lol.

This forum has hundreds of threads, and people who actually want to debate about this stuff. I have been straightforward in my inquiry. Really concerning that there are those who refuse to respect another person's wishes. Seriously, my personal spirituality and church has no personal connection to anyone's lives except my family, so the need to make unnecessary issue of it is unwarranted. Evang. Benincasa, please stop posting on this thread, I don't care for you dictating to me with a superiority complex. You have an attitude of arguing saying people have made suggestions when no one has even made one suggestion yet, just unsolicited posts like yours. You evidently enjoy this kind of thing though, so I can probably rest assured more comments even when I asked you not to. Any further commenting when I have clearly stated please do not is abusing other members. People don't need to be abusing other people on AFF, but respectful to one another. Go do something useful for God instead of succumbing to the temptation of arguing with a stranger on AFF about something that is of absolutely no consequence to you, when they are just sincerely trying to find a church. I mean, that's just kind of sad and shows someone who likes to be a bully.
If someone tells another person, hey, I need you to please stop doing that, and that person keeps doing it intentionally, that is a form of abuse and harassment. Stop.

I guess I swallowed your hook, with the sinker.
Good job.
You weren’t looking for a church, you were looking for a soap box.
Bravo

Really? Yeesh. Can't stand that stuff. It's become a thing in UPC churches hasn't it? I've gone to a PAW church the last 5 years and thank God I didn't have to be subjected to that music travesty.
My next thread will be on what can be done to stop the madness of Hillsong music in churches. Just say no. Haha! I'd rather hear fingernails on a chalkboard.

You do YOU and be happy with your church thing. No need to be a smart alec to others when they just asking for simple suggestions.
Again, the only comments should be "Check out ____ church" .
Thank you so much

1) It's a funny video. People these days want church like a buffet. They want to pick and choose some things.
2) It's not about "You doing or being YOU," it's about doing and being what GOD wants us to be. Get that millennial, secular "You do YOU" trash out of here.
3) This is a public forum. I don't know what you've been doing since you joined in 2016, but any cursory glance through the forum would show you that threads are open and therefore routinely hijacked. So while you engage and demand that people only give specific responses you want, it won't likely happen.
No one is bullying or harassing you. You're not a victim. You're free to stop engaging at any time and leave if you don't like the answers you're getting here.
I'm sure there are FB groups which would better fit your buffet list.

It is a good church.
I grew up in the same church as the pastor of Believers Church...
One of his brothers was a very close friend.
But, the road they are on does not have a good ending.

L - you seemed to have missed this post where I suggested a church...

And so it begins ....
Oh how some of you love to bicker haha. It's a losing battle with some people who are rude as heck. Y'all have fun with that.
I forgot about the one suggestion-- checked out the video, looks like a typical conservative UPC church.
