Re: Government Stimulus?
We've added the church in Baton Rouge to our prayer list of churches we specifically pray for. God bless the saints in Baton Rouge who have kept their wits about them.
NDavid, your responses on this thread are uncalled for. Quite honestly you sound like those guys in China who say Christianity isn't outlawed or oppressed cause muh Three Self Patriotic Church umbrella organisation. You could still go to church in the Soviet Union as long as everything was done in obedience to the givernment.
Spell is right, martial law is not constitutional and cannot override the first Article of the Bill of Rights which prohibits government interference with the RIGHT of THE PEOPLE to PEACEFULLY ASSEMBLE. But more importantly, NO government has the authority to contradict the Word of Almighty God. We must obey God rather than men. If someone doesn't want to go to church because they've bought into this preplanned prescripted scamdemic that's their business. But no secular authority can "ban" God's people from assemblying together. Such a ban is no more authoritative than your neighbor "banning" a church gathering.
501(c)3 non profit religious corporations are another story, however.
