3D printers build bigger and more complex 3D printers. AI programs code and develop more advanced AI programs. A 3D printer, an AI, and basic CRISPR setup would lead to a self building nano microbe-based cybernetic manufacturing and software development facility.

In your garage.

A solar flare would wipe out all electronics in a heartbeat, stopping AI in its tracks, and this whole world would grind to a halt. It could happen.

There is no way any of us can predict what lies just on the horizon before us. Only God.
