There is entirely too little information to go on from Mr. Arnold to successfully say much of anything one way or another. All accused parties in the Holy Scriptures are allowed to testify upon their own behalfs if or when they are suspected of wrongdoing.
Without him being here, there isn't enough evidence to go on to indict, let alone convict.
Does he even know who the statue is supposed to be and what it represents?
How did he acquire it?
Did someone give it to him as a gift?
If so, for what reason?
Has he ever bent the knee and worshipped it?
If so, are there witnesses?
Unless and until these questions are answered by him, I think we need to drop this. If Michael or anyone else reaches him for contact and wants to pursue this with him personally, or invite him to the former to speak to this, that is their choice. Otherwise, there is nothing any of us can do but go round and round in circles debating.
