It seems that we fail to remember that the church were all of Jewish descent. Then the Gentiles were grafted into the church. The branches that were cut off were those that did not accept the Gospel and were later destroyed in 70ad. There is no longer a people except we that have accepted the Gospel that are God chosen people. The only way to become Gods chosen people is to accept Christ and the Gospel.
