Felicity ....No one has ever said it's an optional experience ... what is in question is it's presentation ....

We had these discussions ad infinitum on FCF and NFCF. I really don't care to jump into it again.
Now you admit it's a valid historical reference ???? Today were discussing it again because some have tried to revise the history .....

But is it optional for salvation or not? Can one be saved without it?

I can't even begin to imagine the difference there might be today had I never received this anointing of God's Spirit and presence in my life.

I was brought up and taught that it wasn't an optional experience. It was absolutely necessary and I sought for it long and hard. It didn't come easy but it did come and I am so thankful that I've had the privilege of knowing God in His fullness.
and herein lies the problem. Most of these so called PCI'rs see it as optional, beneficial but not essential.

Uhm, I think I stated that in the previous post you responded to. There are many books that are valid historical references that may not be totally accurate. The majority of such books are written with bias and that makes some "facts" circumspect.

I am only following the statement you made. You said no one was questioning the necessity. I was curious as to what you really meant.

How many threads ever stay on track?

SG Norris didn't believe the message either really. He was sort of a friends of the bride guy.
