Auschwitz and Communist all bring to mind, for me, the harsh rule of law during that horrible time. I still believe that is what NLYP was conveying.
I don't know anyone that uses the expression "Auschwitz" to reflect the genocide in context when speaking about authoritative situations. JMHO.
IMO, there is no difference in the "Taliban" and "Auschwitz". Both are extreme, oppressively authoritative and involve genocide.
