I heard the joyful sound...

Psa 89:15 Blessed [is] the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.
...........and this song was sung while they were taking up the "uncommon seed for the uncommon harvest" offering.

I hope you gave in the offering before you "sprung to your feet" and acted like were "about to be raptured"!!

I'm just old enough to remember the 'old stuff' and still young enough to like some of the 'new stuff'. However, I'm sincere enough to know that some of what we're calling Church... well... it's more atune to entertainment than anointing.

No. I wasn't at Louisiana Campmeeting. Been 'next door' to it for almost 20 years and have never been there. But I've been to enough other places that I, most assuredly, do believe that at least some environments have opened themselves up to some unholy attitudes, non-biblical traits and - yes - even destructive spirits. The frightening part is that some don't even know they have done it.
It is refreshing to hear you say this. Pentecost in general has become drunk on entertainment and religious fads. Old fashioned church is a thing of the past. Crowd response has taken the place of annointed life changing preaching that convicts. Deep moves of the the Spirit would be a strange event in most Pentecostal circles today. The preaching is ' a mile wide and and inch deep.' Look what it is producing.

Steadfast,
I have prayed with you, been in your pulpit, eaten with you and I do consider you a very important friend, mentor and confidant. However I must say this, knowing full well it will not affect our appreciation for one another.

The "arenas" of which you speak, if you were to list them, will, I feel, ALWAYS boil down to what you would consider "Apostolic". There is NOTHING wrong with alot of what is happening, since it is birthed out of a hunger and a deep desire for some to feel out after God.

As Pastor Anthony said..."Holiness is not just taking away and putting aside....Holiness is also about branching out and seizing opportunities."

In YOUR circle...your version of "revival" is breaking out....GREAT....I celebrate that.

But in MY circle revival is also breaking out.....
Revival is revival and souls are souls and and the church will go forward.
But we must acknowledge the fact that God will not tolerate us keeping him our little box and our little paradigmn very long until he has to bust out.
And when he does, you can be assured it will be in ways we will think strange and out of the ordinary.
As to this whole thread.....WE need to stop acting like spiritual giants and stop the rhetoric if "we felt"...and realize that God can and will move in ways that our "feelers" are messed up.

Bro. Strange...I love you and I know you do me...but this whole thread disturbs me and I am quite discouraged at the image that you have painted about good men in our org.

Humbly My take on this,
Bro. Dan

Bro. Ep., while i'm sure this has happened in some churches, that's pretty broad brush you're using to make a point, IMHO!!

I must agree with Bro Strange on "How great is our God". This song smacks of trinity which I oppose as an apostolic. It is entirely unbiblical and should not be used in our services.
We don't sing "Holy, Holy, Holy" do we? Why should we sing this one since it also glorifies pagan trinity?

If I sneeze 3 times, should I sneeze again a 4th time just to make sure I am not glorifying the trinity?
