What is wrong with that, My dear brother, is that the man who wrote the song thinks God is three persons, and by saying "the Godhead, three in one, Father, Spirit, Son", he has in mind the triune God doctrine of three persons in the Godhead. And the PENTECOSTALS OF ALEXANDRIA sang THIS at the LA CAMPMEETING????????????????? I'm shocked. I'm floored. Somebody tell me that this is all one big mistake...please!
Most of the songs sung today in our churches, even those in the hymnals, were written by Trinitarians. The KJV was translated by Trinitarians. Do you view the Bible as they do?
I can sing songs written by Trinitarians without having their view of God when singing it. God knows the difference, and it's only Him that matters.

Godhead three in one to a Trinitarian might mean three persons but to Oneness it usually means three manifestations. Why is it ok to use the KJV, translated by Trinitarians, which has 1john 5:7, which most Trinitarians interpret to mean three persons.....
Even though we are told this verse is not even in the original, yet the UPC has not banned this book from use by Apostolics

I see that some of you are beginning to see what I have been talking about. Good going. There is hope yet.
I still believe in the original. I still believe in the OTW...the old time way. I'm apostolic to the core. I believe in truth without compromise. Yet, I want to keep a Christ-like spirit in all that I say and do, even if there are sharp words of correction sometimes involved.
I did not hear the "Holy, Holy, Holy" song at camp. If I had, I would not have joined in to sing it. I don't like the spirit involved in that song, regardless of what the words are.
I very often sing songs that are not entirelly correct doctrinally such as "I'll Fly Away," because the sound expresses spiritual affections that speaks from my spiritual mind. I'll sing it with much gusto along with others who have the same spiritial affections in seeing their Lord, face to face. In this case, it is not the words, but the spirit of the sound. Angels understand sounds of affections whether it be Death Metal or the old blood songs the old timers cherished. They are understood in the spirit world for exactly what they express. You can put Amazing grace to Death Metal music. The angels would understand the sound of the music rather than the words of Amazing Grace.

Elder, I DO understand what you are talking about. But let me ask you...the music to Holy, Holy, Holy is wonderful, and when changing the last two lines, I sing it gladly...must we throw aside every piece of music because of the one who wrote it or the intention of the writer?!
The spirit of the above mentioned song is worship...respectfully, the only Spirit I feel with that song is the Holy Spirit.

ISN'T THAT THE TRUTH! Good grief! We sing all sorts of songs written by trinitarians and I'm sure they had a whole different view when they sang it compared to us!
