The song is too reminiscent of the Trinitarian worship of "God in three persons, blessed trinity" flavor that it was originally written for. It is subjective I suppose. I just chose not to sing the so called Oneness version...if there be one. If you do, I think that I would follow it by singing...

The mighty God is Jesus
the Prince of Peace is he
the everlasing father
the king eternally
wonderful in wisdom
by whom all things are made
the fulness of the Godhead
in Jesus is displayed.

It's all in Him, its all in him
the fullness of the Godhead
is all in Him,
its all in Him, its all in Him
the mighty God is Jesus
and its all in Him....

But this would be right before the choir sung "The Water Way," and just before I preached, "Whom Do Men Say That I Am," I would have the soloist sing, "He's the Lord of Glory, He Is the Great I Am."

Get the picture???
Yes sir...respectfully I do get the picture....

I wasn't aware of that. That is such a sad event to lose a child.

Oh yeah girl...we sang it all the time.

We used to sing this one in the COOLJC...

I have found the God of Issac
And the God of Jacob, too
I have found the God in the lion's den
Who took old Daniel through

I have found the God that Moses had
From the Rock the water came
O praise the Lord, I am so glad that Jesus is His Name

Anyone know what the chorus is before I post it?!

Here's the song written by Chris Tomlin.

The splendor of a King, clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice
All the earth rejoice

He wraps himself in Light, and darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voice
Trembles at His voice

How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God

Age to age He stands
And time is in His hands
Beginning and the end
Beginning and the end

The Godhead Three in One
Father Spirit Son
The Lion and the Lamb
The Lion and the Lamb

Name above all names
Worthy of our praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God

How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God
Hitting and missing w/this thread.... didn't read all posts, but I love this song.

We have had some powerful worship services singing this as congregational worship song. Our youth choir also sings this as a choir song... my daughter sings the verses..

I like the song... I know who Jesus is... I don't see that as trinitarian...

The oneness movement doesn't have many songs being written now... most songs we sing are written by trinitarians.. don't know what can be done about that....maybe some people need to get to writing again... but then again, does it really matter?

POA Use Idol Worship at Campmeeting?

One of my favorite songs because of the message in the words:

Down from His Glory
Words by William E. Booth-Clibborn
Music by Eduardo di Capua
1921
John 6:38
"For I came down from heaven, not to do mine
own will, but the will of him that sent me."

Down from His glory, ever living story,
My God and Savior came, and Jesus was His name;
Born in a manger to His own a stranger,
A man of sorrows, tears and agony!

Chorus
Oh how I love Him! How I adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Savior,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him!

What condescension, bringing us redemption,
That in the dead of night, not one faint hope in sight,
God gracious, tender laid aside His splendor,
Stooping to woo, to win, to save my soul!

Chorus
Oh how I love Him! How I adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Savior,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him!

Without reluctance, flesh and blood His substance,
He took the form of man, revealed the hidden plan;
O glorious myst'ry sacrifice of Calv'ry!
And now I know He is the great "I AM"!

Chorus
Oh how I love Him! How I adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Savior,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him!

Blessings,

Falla39

Someone said it was written by a oneness person and the reason why the AOG pulled it out of their hymnals. I don't think that's accurate.
But "All In Him" is one of my favs out of the book!
