I know many people who are not 'pro-UPC' but don't spend their time and energy blaming it for all the problems in their life.

It gets old and borders on the ridiculous.
Dean, the bulk of his experience in the Church has been with the UPCI. That is who he identifies as being the Church. It's only natural that he associate all his church experiences as being with the UPC.

Jesus and his disciples would probably be called bashers, too, if they were here witnessing things I've seen, COOP. Pray for the UPC and all of the Church. That's what I do, but sometimes the things I witness are so distressful that I have to speak. People (and organizations-or groups of people) cannot repent unless they see their need to repent. If everyone keeps reciting the mantra that "All is Well" then there won't be any repentance. It will just be politics, as usual. We hear the term "broken government" for the U.S. government that could apply in "other groups." Covering up is never better than coming clean.

That's how it should be!

Yes,, UPC showed me Acts2:38, One God and saved my life as a Troubled teen.
Many good times and memories in the UPC. It was good times.

My Little girl got the Holy Ghost at a UPC youth camp last year and I cried for joy.

If it was not for my old Pastor and Church I would not be here.

God used The UPC to bring me to him. Jesus Found me and I him thru UPC.

Thank God for the UPC.

I wish all people would find Jesus and if God uses UPC good.

In fact I will probably seek a UPC pastor to Baptize my kids.

UPC has a lot of truth and I am thankful.

I like UPC it is my roots and something I am thankful for.

But she ain't my God.

I did not leave UPC because of hurt.

I did not want to leave UPC but God showed me the truth about UPC and the standards doctrines. Not all is truth as far as TV, hair and standards go.

But if my kids get baptized in Jesus name at a UPC church I will be happy.

Thank God UPC knows some truth.

I have never had a television and the church I pastor is television free with the exception of an unsaved companion. And yes I preach against television.
And the men I fellowship preach against television.

Rico,

Consider your logic here.... the TV ban served a purpose (apparently you feel a valid one). Now you say we need to make a change and no longer ban TV. Share with me how it is you believe both these things. Is it because our Apostolic churches are now full of folks who are more dedicated and greater prayer warriors and thus able to resist the temptation or has the programming become so much more Godly and morally palatable than it was when the prohibition served a purpose?

Just curious...
