Not to mention the reoccurring theme I have seen in my life in Pentecost that people in ministry who travel a lot alone are the ones who end up with marital problems. Keeping the homefires burning might be a new good topic for some women's conferences and popular women's conference speakers.

That's the ugly truth that the majority in the UPC, and other denominations for that matter, don't want exposed.
I've known of quite a few ministers, all UPC because it's what I grew up in, who were away from home too much and either the husband or wife found a playmate to get satisfaction from because they weren't finding it in the wayward, traveling spouse. That, or the traveling spouse found satisfaction on the road.
It's not a knock on RR . . . but all these people who travel alone for extended periods of time do seem to have marital problems.
As for the children's books . . . Hitler and others like him would be proud of this kind of indoctrination.
