I think for most of us, we look at it as the initial birth of Jesus in Bethlehem. We are not celebrating his 12th birthday, or his 25th birthday, or even his 2000th birthday. We are celebrating the initial day that the Son of Righteousness was born into this earth with healing in his wings. It was the day that angels rejoiced and proclaimed "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.", and signs where manifested in the heavens. The Prophets had prophesied, and the Messiah was born. The redeeming lamb had finally come.
This is worth shouting about!
