Where do fiery trials come from?

John 10:10, says "The THIEF cometh NOT , BUT FOR TO STEAL... KILL... AND TO DESTROY: but I am come that they.... (Who are "they" ? that's EVERY person on earth).... might have ZOE'. (what is ZOE" ? that's the God life. the same life that God has.)
This is God's Mission Statement!!!!!!!!

THEREFORE!!!!!!! God CANNOT - Yes !!! I said CANNOT!!!! deal in sickness, disease or poverty, because it is impossible for God to lie; His Word cannot be broken; His Word is immutable; heaven and earth will pass away ,but His Word will not pass away; His Word is forever settled in heaven.

God is NOT making your kids sick to test you; God is NOT "taking you through the fire again; God is NOT making someone sick to save someone else (that's idolotry) Jesus is the only one who can save; God is not making you sick to purge you of some impurity; God is NOT "giving and taking away". (Let him that hath an ear, let him hear)

WAAAAAAAKKKKKKEEE UUUUUPPPPPP, !!!!!! It was the devil that took away from JOB, It is the "wicked one - the devil- that sends all the firey darts at you, to try you. It was the devil who brought sin to Adam and Eve, who chose death and sickness and poverty. Do you see a pattern here?

Jesus said in Matt 12:25, " Every kingdom divide against itself is brought to desolation;......" If God were to one time deal in sickness, disease or poverty, He would become a liar and the entire universe would instantly dissolve into a giant cloud of nothingness, because everything is held together by the Word of His Power.

When did God change? He certainly had the ability at one time to inflict sickness. Remember the plague of boils in Egypt? He used to have the ability to kill. Has he lost that, too? When did this happen?

Paul, cites the sin of not discerning the body of Christ (not recognizing the mystery of Godliness among the brethren) as the reason "many are sick or sleeping among you" (1Co 11:30).

29] For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
[30] For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

Sometimes God has us suffer (physically) just so that His glory can be displayed in healing us.

John 9:2-3 (NIV) His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" "Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life."

Well, Tech pointed out a couple of exceptions since then. There was also Ananias and Sapphira.

And then there's Hebrews 13:8 (Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.) and Malachi 3:6 (For I am the LORD, I change not) to deal with.

Balogna!!

Do you have children? Would you cause your son or daughter be born blind, if you could prevent it? Our heavenly father is an infinitely better father than evil men. That's child abuse! It is also evil. In Texas, they will put you in jail for doing that.

The Bible is of no private (hidden) interpretation. You must use the Bible to interprete the Bible. The problem is in the translation. KJV seems to say one thing and NIV says something else. The Bible cannot actually say two opposing things. That would be a lie, and we know that it is IMPOSSIBLE for God to lie. Therefore it is impossible for God to, on one hand say, "I am come to give you life, then on the other hand, kill you. The devil is the killer, God is not, now, killing anyone.

If you sin, and Herod did, you place yourself into the domain of the devil. There, you are vulnerable to attack by the god of this world, the devil. He has the power of death.

Peter did not kill Ananias and Sappirah. he just told them what was going to happen to them.

God's Word is infallible, however, KJV and NIV are not necessarily infallible

Fact: some children are born blind.
Fact: a good father would not allow this to happen, if he could prevent it.
Fact: only an evil man would not prevent it if he could.
Question: is God able to prevent birth defects?

Thanks for adding "now". Hope you're right.

So, in Acts 12:23, "the angel of the Lord smote him" implies, according to your claims, that the angel of the Lord is the devil. And the devil killed Herod because Herod "gave not God the glory". Mmmmmkay.

I thought God killed them, not Peter. So you think the devil killed them? For lying? Is the devil God's hit man? I'm really confused.

Perhaps you can give us the infallible interpretation of the scriptures we've been looking at, from the original languages?

This is God's Mission Statement!!!!!!!!
This refers to spiritual life, to the everlasting life of the soul when one is in Christ.

God can do what he wants. Our common mistake is to attribute happenings in our lives in this world to the spiritual or supernatural laws, when they are more properly attributed to the natural laws, or the law of reaping and sowing, etc.

God has dealt death, withheld blessing, and withheld life. He's God. He gets to do what he wants.

That might be pretty interesting to watch . . .
