But, brother, he also said why. He gave the remedy!

If we expect to sin, we will find a way to do it. Romans 6 is taking that expectancy away by "walking us through" the work of the cross and how it involves us. Bottom line is that if we really KNEW Romans 6 -- me included -- and applied it to our lives, and prayed the prayer of Romans 6:13, we would not sin. It IS possible.... so long as we walk after the Spirit. But we expect too much failure.

A remedy takes time take it's effect [considering our flesh is at war]... our sanctifcation is a process, IMO ... yet its seems to me, Brother Blume , you believe it's a done deal.

I think that Pauls own recorded history shows his imperfections...such as his situation with John Mark...

His Spirit living through me does more than cause fruit of the Spirit. Walking after the Spirit is reliance upon the Spirit for spiritual empowerment to avoid sin, too. When we pray for the Spirit to use our members as His instruments, all the while we present ourselves as alive unto God, since we died unto sin, Paul said we'd behave like Christ.

Paul did say he had not yet arrived. But he taught the issue as though we can arrive in this life. Really, I think we've missed something in Romans 6, and thought Romans 7:19-23 was Paul's ever present struggle, when it was not.

We must first KNOW some things. KNOW we're dead to sin. And then RECKON ourselves, and apply it to us. Then YIELD (6:13) to the Spirit's power within thorugh prayer for Him to do so.
